Version 0.0.26 Released!


This update includes a massive update to the police following AI!  The police are much harder to shake now when chasing and navigate MUCH better on the road.  Maybe the game is too hard now?  Give it a try and let us know in the comments section. 

 



Summary

  • Police use road spline information to weave around traffic obstacles
  • Police prefer traffic direction side of road in 4 lane roads unless there are obstacles blocking path
  • Police straddle middle of road in 2 lane roads unless there are obstacles on wrong side of road
  • Fix police navigation issues making turns at T-intersections
  • Fix some police perception issues about player location when lose sight
  • Optimize traffic yield to chasing police logic
  • Plug some holes between buildings with props that could have allowed player to escape into unplayable areas
